CARMEL, Ind. -- A semi fire closed all southbound lanes of U.S. 31 in Carmel, Indiana early Friday morning.
The fire started around 4 a.m., near 131st Street and U.S. 31.
Once crews put the fire out, hazmat teams from Carmel and Noblesville had to investigate any possible runoff from the semi.
It is unknown what caused the fire.
The road was reopened around 1:30 p.m.
