HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- One walk with fido could save thousands of pets lives.
Woof It & Hoof It is the Humane Society for Hamilton County's annual charity walk fundraiser.
The dog and family friendly event is on Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m. with registration at 12:30 p.m.
It kicks off the Woofstock festival, a pet and music festival, at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater that day.
Participants in the Woof It & Hoof It walk are encouraged to create teams and fundraise to support the Humane Society for Hamilton County's Survivor program that pays for life-saving medical care beyond standard check-ups.
Humane Society for Hamilton County says its Survivor Program has saved the lives of 185 sick, injured, and abused animals so far this year.
