FISHERS, Ind. -- A lot has changed in Fishers over the last 25 years, but the Reynolds Christmas display is not one of them.
Located off SR 37 just north of I-69, Reynolds Farm Equipment is in the middle of prime real-estate. New development in the area led to speculation about the future of the display. Mike Lawson, marketing director for Reynolds, says they aren’t going anywhere.
The display has had to make some adjustments over the last three years to make room for new neighbors such as the Harley Davidson dealership, which is expected to open soon.
The lights are not as visible as they once were from SR 37, but Lawson says it’s still a destination for holiday revelers and admission is still free.
“Traffic is about the same as before we made the change, actually probably seeing a lit bit more” Lawson said.
The layout has changed, but Lawson says the feedback has been positive. The lights are more condensed, but the pathway allows cars to be closer than ever before.
Friday and Saturday nights are typically the busiest of the week.
Years ago, Reynolds Farm Equipment considered moving the display to a larger location such as Conner Prairie. In the end they decided to stay put and evolve with a growing city.
