Indianapolis man killed in motorcycle crash in Hamilton Co.

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- An Indianapolis man was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday night in Hamilton County.

The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Sheridan Rd. and Moontown Rd./Hinkle Rd.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says a car heading north on Moontown Rd was getting ready to turn left onto Sheridan Rd.

A motorcycle, driven by Kenneth Fitzgerald, 64, of Indianapolis, was headed south on Sheridan Rd. and collided with the car as it pulled into the intersection, according to the sheriff's office.

Fitzgerald was thrown from his motorcycle. Deputies say no helmet was found at the crash site.

He was taken to Riverview Health where the died a short time later.

The driver of the car was checked out by medics and a passenger was taken to Riverview for complaints of chest pain and later released.
