FISHERS, Ind. -- Fishers police said Wednesday they did not find any violations at a local pet store after a photo circulated on social media questioning the health of one of their dogs.
The picture, taken at Uncle Bill’s in Fishers, showed a brown dog with its ribs visible through its fur.
Fishers Police public information officer Tom Weger said they met with Uncle Bill’s as well as several veterinarians and there was no abuse or neglect.
The city did not issue any violations to the pet store.
Weger said the dog has since gained weight since the picture was taken and is doing well.
