WESTFIELD, Ind. -- When they face off against Warren Central High School Tuesday night, the Westfield High School girls’ volleyball teams will pause to pay tribute to the men and women who save lives and protect the community through service.
During the school’s first responders recognition event, medics, police and fire fighters will be served free food and refreshments in the school’s VIP Room. The teams will also present first responders with thank-you gifts at a ceremony between Junior Varsity and Varsity games at 6 p.m.
This is the fourth year in a row that student athletes at WHS have recognized first responders.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the main gym at Westfield High School.
