HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- What does domestic violence look like in affluent communities? That’s what the Domestic Violence Network, Prevail and the Hamilton County Leadership Academy want to discuss.
They are partnering to host a free, community conversation from 6:30 to 8 p.m., on Sept. 19, at the Hamilton East Public Library, 1 Library Plaza in Noblesville.
Guests will hear perspectives from law enforcement, prosecutors, victim services and a survivor of domestic violence.
“Traditionally, people would think we’d talk about how people in poverty might be more susceptible to domestic violence, but this is something that crosses all boundaries,” says Susan Ferguson, executive director of Prevail, Inc.
They want to engage the community to talk about domestic violence and reach out to those who need services.
