HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. -- Santa showed up early and in a red pick-up truck this year to deliver mattresses that will allow Indianapolis’ homeless to sleep better at night.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department donated the previously used jail mattresses to God's Open Arms Ministry and Christians Life-N-Action, instead of throwing them away.
God’s Open Arms Ministry is based in Greenfield and delivers food, clothing, basic hygiene items, bibles and God's message to homeless and less fortunate men, women and children in Hancock and Marion counties.
Christians Life-N-Action is an outreach ministry that serves Indianapolis’ homeless through prayer and service.
