HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. -- Two men were arrested with more than 100 pounds of marijuana in their minivan during a traffic stop in Greenfield on Tuesday, according to state police.

A trooper with the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section stopped a Toyota minivan for speeding on I-70 eastbound near the Mt. Comfort Road exit in Greenfield around 11 a.m.

The trooper says he talked with the driver, Tong Pan, 43, of Elk Grove, California, and his passenger, Liandi Zhang, 52, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, and became suspicious.

He also says he could smell a strong odor of marijuana and fabric dryer sheets coming from the van.

State police say a search of the van turned up several containers and bags filled with marijuana that had been shrink-wrapped and individually packaged. The estimated weight of the marijuana was more than 120 pounds.

Both men were arrested for dealing and possession of marijuana and taken to the Marion County Jail.
