GREENFIELD, Ind. -- A teen was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while trick-or-treating in Greenfield Halloween night.
Greenfield Police Department Deputy Chief Matt Holland said police were called to the 400 block of West Main Street just before 8 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck.
Holland said a 14-year-old trick-or-treater was crossing the road when he was hit by a car.
The exact circumstances surrounding the accident haven't been released.
The teen was alert and coherent and transported to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis to be treated.
The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police. No charges are expected to be filed at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
