INDIANAPOLIS — Every year there are Hoosiers who are concerned about how they will pay for their heat during the winter months.
On Monday, the United Way of Central Indiana, announced the kickoff of its Winter Assistance Fund. The program provides utility bill help to people and families who do not qualify for the state's low-income energy assistance program.
Last year, the Winter Assistance Fun raised almost $192,500 and provided gas and electric assistance to 264 households comprised of 566 individuals.
