HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. -- A Hendricks County deputy helped rescue a buck who got himself stuck under a truck parked in a homeowner's driveway.
The Hendricks County Sheriff's Department posted a video of the rescue on their Facebook page that shows Deputy Jeff Hughes crawling under a truck to coax out a scared deer.
"The buck had apparently run across the property and slid underneath the truck with his antlers becoming lodged in the undercarriage of the truck," the post said.
A neighbor provided a floor jack for the deputy to lift the truck off the buck and with a little coaxing he ran free to the nearby woods.

"Although this incident didn't occur in the roadway, it's a good reminder to be careful on the roads and allow yourself extra stopping distance based on your location and visibility," the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department posted. "Deer are frequently on the move and we tend to see an uptick in crashes involving deer during this time of year."
