PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- The $2 million project to widen Hadley Road in Plainfield is taking longer than expected.
When complete, there will be an extra lane and a 'T' put at the intersection with 675 East.
Curbs and gutters will be added to the road as well.
People who live in the Glen Haven subdivision and school bus drivers say the project has been a nightmare.
It has added up to ten more minutes to some routes.
Scott Singleton, Director of Transportation for Plainfield, says the project started in July and may not wrap up until the end of November.
The project has been in the works for almost four years.
