HENRY COUNTY, Ind. – What began as a meeting about the controversial wind farm project in Henry County, ended with another big topic of discussion when attendees accused one of the county commissioners of cursing at the audience.
During a meeting earlier this week, commissioner Ed Yanos addressed suggestions that he had obtained a contract pertaining to wind farms in the county.
"I'm tired of rebutting this and being called a liar. With that I’m going to make a motion for adjournment,” he said during the meeting.
Shortly after, a person in the audience shouted, “If you don't want the office, walk way.”
It was after the comment that audience members accused Yanos of cursing during the meeting. The confrontation was recorded and can be viewed in the video player.
There are plans for more than 100 wind turbines to be built in the countryside of Henry County, with several people living in the area opposed to the idea.

"It was a big room. There were a lot of people he said it in that public crowd,” said Gary Rodgers, who lives in the area. “We all took it personally. It was meant personally. That's how we are taking it. He should really stand down. He should resign? Yes, he should resign."
Yanos denies making the comment, but admits to using other expletive language.
In a statement he said, "In a moment of frustration about shouted comments from an audience member I regret that other audience members thought it was directed at them. I apologize for language that was inappropriate in my frustration."
