DUI suspect's death in jail ruled homicide

HENRY COUNTY, Ind. -- A man arrested for DUI died after officials say he was involved in fight at the Henry County Jail.

The Marion County Coroner has ruled the death of Brian Gosser, 32, a homicide. The coroner says the New Castle man died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries.

Gosser was arrested on February 17 and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, public intoxication, and the habitual vehicular substance offender enhancement.

According to the Henry County Prosecutor, Gosser was involved in a fight at the jail Thursday and then taken to the Henry County Hospital.

He was transferred to a hospital in Indianapolis where he later died.
