2 New Castle residents killed when driver crashes into motorcyclists

HENRY COUNTY — Two New Castle residents died Sunday night when a driver crossed the center line of a road in Henry County and struck two motorcycles, police said.

Henry County authorities and Indiana State Police responded to the crash at about 7:15 p.m. on Dublin Pike near County Road 725 East.

Investigators believe the driver of the car, a 37-year-old Connersville man, drifted left of the center line and struck two motorcycles. The car's driver sustained minor injuries.

The driver of one of the motorcycles, Willie Gene Rose Jr., 60, and his passenger, Wanda Rose, 63, died at the scene, according to Indiana State Police.

The driver of the second motorcycle, Willie Gene Rose III, 39, of New Castle, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Henry Community Hospital. Medics transported his passenger, Kim Mosier, 41, to Reid Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
