MUNCIE, Ind. -- A new exhibit at the Indiana Historical Society features a name that might sound familiar to you: the Ball Brothers.
The brothers opened their canning business in 1948 in Muncie, where they improved upon the design of the Mason jar. Their name now adorns Ball State University.
At the Indiana Historical Society, visitors can step into a canning center similar to the one the Ball Brothers operated in 1948.
