INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police are asking for help finding a suspect in multiple burglaries on the north side.

Police released home surveillance footage of a thief caught breaking into a residence in the middle of the day. The footage shows the burglary entering the bedroom after kicking in the home's front door. His first stop was for a pillow case to hold valuables.

The burglary happened near 65th and Meridian streets. The area has seen a rash of recent burglaries, and detectives think the suspect caught on video could be behind at least five of them.

In the most recent burglary, the suspect made off with close to $20,000 in jewelry and cash.

Anyone with information about the man in the photos, or any burglaries on the north side, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
