INDIANAPOLIS -- Homeless veterans are a rising issue nationwide.
On Wednesday, more than 60 area organizations joined forces in hopes of making an impact on that issue.
Nearly 40 homeless veterans were treated to a special event in their honor called "Stand Down." Now in its 12th year at the AmVets Post 99 on Lafayette Road, the event gives former service members all sorts of goods, from food to clothing to toiletries.
Homeless veterans in the Indianapolis area can get help and resources from the Richard L. Roudebush VAMC. Find more info here.
