INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman shot someone who was allegedly trying to break into her home on the city's southwest side.
It happened around noon in the 3200 block of West Banta Road.
According to the woman's brother at the scene, she heard someone breaking in through a window in her baby's room, so she got a gun and started walking in that direction. The suspect raised his gun and fired twice, according to her brother. The woman shot back and hit the suspect multiple times, according to an officer on scene.
The suspect was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The woman's brother said this is the second time that someone has tried to break-in to the home this month.
