INDIANAPOLIS -- Several players from the Indianapolis Colts teamed up with LIDS on Monday for the "Cold Feet, Warm Shoes and Hats" to give shoes to Indianapolis kids in need.
Players and volunteers surprised more than 500 kids at Brookside School 54 with brand new shoes, socks and knit hats.
LIDS set up a mock shoe and hat store inside the school's gym so students could "shop" for a new pair of shoes and a hat donated by LIDS and Genesco.
Some of the students even got custom fitting from Colts players to make sure their shoes were the right size.
"I was fortunate enough to be a part of this last year," Jacoby Brissett said. "Personally, it's my favorite event of the year."
