INDIANAPOLIS -- A Kokomo woman fighting cancer has won more than $70,000 in the Hoosier Lottery.

Marilyn Dunlap and her husband bought a 7 scratch-off for $5 on June 7 at West Alto Express in the 3900 block of S. Dixon Road.

Marilyn told the Hoosier Lottery that her husband scratched off the winning ticket and told her it was all hers. All $77,777 of it.

Marilyn and her daughter drove to Indianapolis the next day to claim her prize.

According to the lottery, Marilyn retired from a career she loved driving school buses because she had to undergo cancer treatment.

Marilyn says she'll use her winnings to pay off her car and other bills.

She also plans a trip to California with her grandson.
