MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- If you're heading out to the beach this weekend avoid the water and piers at Washington Park and any areas of Lake Michigan in Indiana.
Washington Park has issued a Red Flag warning because of rip currents.
Washington Park lifeguards said they had to pull several victims from the water on Friday because of the dangerous currents.
"We would like to remind people that rip currents can and will be fatal," they posted on their Facebook page. "No one is immune to drowning."
The Red Flag warning will remain under effect until further notice.
