INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a fatal crash on Saturday night.
Police said the crash happened at the 2200 block of Montcalm Street.
Officers responding to the scene found that a sedan had left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole.
The preliminary investigation indicated the car was traveling northbound on Montcalm Street when it left the roadway before striking a utility pole.
The driver, who IMPD describes as an adult female, was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, where she later died. The passenger, an adult man, was also transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
