INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead following what police describe as a hit-and-run accident in an east side Indianapolis alley.
It happened just before 7:30 p.m. in an alley of the 900 block between North Tuxedo and North LaSalle Street. That's just south of East 10th Street, between Rural Street and Sherman Drive.
According to a Public Information Officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the victim was dead at the scene.
The investigation is just getting underway and there have been no arrests.
