INDIANAPOLIS -- Police arrested a man Tuesday night for allegedly firing an airsoft gun with metal pellets at people along the canal.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. along the canal near West 10^th Street.

Police said there had been vandalism in the area with a BB gun and Tuesday's incident might be connected to recent reports.

No serious injuries were reported.
