INDIANAPOLIS -- Three men who allegedly robbed a 13-year-old and then led police on a chase were taken to the hospital after crashing their car.

Police responded to the area of Washington Street and Lynurst Drive to help a 13-year-old who was robbed near a Taco Bell. The suspects allegedly took the victim's shoes and backpack.

An officer in the area saw a car matching a description of the suspect's car, and as he was trying to confirm it was the car, the driver sped up. The driver was speeding and passing other cars when he drove off the road and hit a pole and a business sign in the 4400 block of Rockville Road, according to IMPD.

Three men inside the car were taken to Eskenazi Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The 13-year-old was not hurt in the robbery, according to IMPD.
