INDIANAPOLIS -- An IMPD officer was injured when he was rear-ended as he was driving into work Saturday morning.
The officer was stopped for a red light at the intersection of East Morris Street and South Meridian Street when a vehicle driven by Christina Staggs, 34, rear-ended the officer's vehicle.
After officers observed signs of impairment, Staggs was transported to Eskenazi. She was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated.
The officer was treated for minor injuries at Methodist Hospital and has been released.
