INDIANAPOLIS -- Police have identified the four teens involved in a shooting that was sparked by a game of airsoft tag.
Officers say they saw the teens go into an abandoned building on the property of the Indiana Medical History Museum in the 3000 block of West Vermont Street around 6:00 p.m. Thursday night.
Officers say they yelled "POLICE" when they heard voices and people moving around inside the building.
One of the teens jumped out from a hiding place and police say he fired his airsoft gun at an officer.
One of the officers fired his weapon once.
The suspect wasn't hit and no one was hurt.
Three people were in custody shortly after the incident. Police have identified 19-year-old Kaleb Farris, 19-year-old Joseph Shibli, and 19-year-old Dakota Williams.
The fourth suspect, identified as 18-year-old Nicholas Bollinger, ran from the building but was later taken into custody at his workplace.
They've all been released while the case is reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.
Police believed the teens were there to play a game of airsoft tag.
A total of five airsoft guns and two flashlights were found at the scene.
Officers say they were initially told that the teens were planning to shoot video on their phones and post it to YouTube.
The officer involved is a 5-year veteran and is assigned to the Southwest District. The officer will be placed on administrative leave, as is standard protocol in such situations.
