INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill filed a lawsuit against the owners and directors of a pharmaceutical company known for making Oxycontin.
Hill's office announced the lawsuit Tuesday against members of the Sackler family, the owners of Purdue Pharma.
Hill said they intentionally understated the risks of opioid use.
In an eight-year period, the family received more than $4 billion from Purdue Pharma, which has no connection to Purdue University.
