INDIANAPOLIS — A member of the American Red Cross in Indiana is on his way to South Carolina in anticipation of Hurricane Dorian hitting that area.
Red Cross volunteer Dan Pace boarded a flight Monday afternoon to Columbia, S.C. with the mission of helping anyone the storm impacts.
"I will be deployed to a shelter, and once I get there, some of our duties will be with people coming in to assist them to the needs that they need," Pace said. "You know, that's pretty much the whole mission of the Red Cross is to interview people, find out what their needs are and find out how to help them."
Indiana Red Cross members are also in Florida waiting to help people there, as well.
