INDIANAPOLIS — Despite severe weather that threatened the last weekend, the 2019 Indiana State Fair saw a bump in attendance over 2018.
This year's fair, with its "Heroes in the Heartland" theme, attracted 878,857 people, according to fair officials, an increase over the 860,131 people who attended the fair last year.
The record fair attendance since the event was extended to 17 days was set in 2013 when 978,000 people passed through the gates.
Next year's Indiana State Fair will run from Aug. 7-23, 2020.
