PENDLETON, Ind. – A semi struck an Indiana State Police car Sunday morning on I-70.
The trooper was headed east bound in the left lane of I-70 at the Knightstown exit when he tried to pass a semi.
The truck swerved into the the troopers' lane, forcing the car into a wall.
Authorities say the driver of the semi, Ronald Weber, 47, of Danbury, Ill. continued to drive east one mile before stopping.
The preliminary investigation shows Weber was changing lanes for merging traffic when he hit the trooper’s car.
Trooper Scott Keegan, 35, complained of back pain and was checked at the scene.
Weber was cited for unsafe lane movement and log book violation.
