INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indiana State Police trooper's instructional video on turn signal use has gone viral.

Sgt. John Perrine is already well known for his savvy emoji tweets and occasional duels of Twitter wit with other officers and departments.

On Friday, Sgt. Perrine posted a video PSA about an "incredible safety feature" that comes standard on every vehicle: the turn signal.

"What if I told you there's a feature on every car that's standard, that not only will help prevent crashes, but also will help prevent road rage a little bit," Sgt.Perrine says in the video.

The video has been viewed more than 8 million times from Sgt. Perrine's Facebook page.

"It's neat. It's humbling. Also, there's a sense of pride when your message reaches that many people," said Sgt. Perrine.

Sgt. Perrine said he plans to create more PSA videos in the near future.
