INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis International Airport is gearing up for a hectic weekend packed with spring break travelers.
They're expecting record traffic, with 17,000 people each day, Saturday and Sunday. An average day is about 15,000 people.
TSA will open both security checkpoints at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday to ease the pressure of the crowds.
New this year is "Time-Wait" calculators at the security checkpoint entrances. The calculators show the maximum time it will take for travelers to get through the line and to the scanners.
The airport is advising fliers to arrive early for departures.
