INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County Coroner has identified the person found dead following a hit-and-run accident Wednesday night on the city's east side.

Amber Olvey, 35, died from "traumatic injuries due to a pedestrian stuck by vehicle," according to the coroner.

However, there is much about Olvey's death that remains unclear. Police are only calling the case a "death investigation" at this point.

Officers were called to what was described as a "hit-and-run accident" in an alley between North Tuxedo and North LaSalle Street, just south of East 10th Street, at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Olvey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate. There have been no arrests.
