INDIANAPOLIS — With temperatures hovering around freezing and the possibility of freezing drizzle and snow flurries overnight, the Indianapolis Department of Public Works plans to de-ice city streets.

DPW Communications Officer Benjamin Easley says 40 salt trucks will be out starting at 11 p.m.

DPW is reminding motorists to drive with care during the overnight and morning hours, especially on bridge overpasses and areas that are known to get slick. Also, allow plenty of clearance near other vehicles, and keep at least three car lengths of space between your vehicle and DPW trucks.
