INDIANAPOLIS -- Good news. The Humane Society of Indianapolis has raised the money it needs for a dog that was thrown over a highway overpass.

The Humane Society posted to its Facebook page that Maybelline was found after a Good Samaritan saw what happened to her and reported it. The dog has a torn ligament in her hind leg.

The post reads, in part:

That is why we have coordinated with a local orthopedic veterinarian to perform the necessary specialized surgery, which is quite complex.

The Humane Society was trying to raise $3,500 for the dog's surgery.
