INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Airport Authority board is considering some improvements that would give the airport a more “Hoosier” feel.
The board is looking at ways to reflect the state’s history and offer travelers an Indiana experience without ever leaving the airport. Their goal is to develop a “sense of place” complete with sights, sounds, and tastes from the state of Indiana.

The airport’s executive director said they are still in the initial planning phases but are looking forward to seeing what comes from the plans.
The board has been looking at input from travelers, stakeholders and members of the community. Their suggestions include things like a new design for the moving walkways, different seating, updating the restaurant selection and a new play area for kids.
