HANCOCK COUNTY — An Indianapolis man was critically injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash adjacent to the Indianapolis Regional Airport in Hancock County.

According to a report from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 3 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Mt. Comfort Road and Stoner Drive, adjacent to the Indianapolis Regional Airport.

Deputies said a 2013 Mazda S3 was traveling north on Mt. Comfort Road and turned left into the path of a southbound 2019 Ford Edge. The driver of the Mazda, Jaylen M. Anthony, 21, of Indianapolis, was not wearing a seat belt and was critically injured, deputies said.

Anthony was transported to Methodist Hospital in critical condition with head trauma, deputies said.

The driver of the Edge, David N. Choo, 89, of Indianapolis, was taken to Community East Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies said it is unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Hancock County Fatal Accident Crash Team.
