INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash along Interstate 465 on the city's east side on Sunday.

According to a report from the Indiana State Police, emergency crews were called to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Interstate 465 northbound near Interstate 70 just after 6 p.m. Sunday.

911 callers reported a man was seriously injured and unconscious. When emergency responders arrived, they found the man unresponsive. The victim was taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

State police identified the victim as William Brown, 67, of Indianapolis.

Troopers said the Brown's motorcycle began to swerve back and forth before he lost control and laid the motorcycle on its side. Brown was not wearing a helmet, state police said. No other vehicle were involved in the crash.
