INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man will spend 55 years in jail after he was sentenced Friday for a murder conviction.
According to a release from the Marion County Prosecutor's Office, Toby George was sentenced for the January 2018 northeast side murder of Tyrone Burt.
George is believed to have shot Burt in retaliation for an altercation that occurred earlier that day. A jury found him guilty of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
