INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating the death of a woman on the Indianapolis east side.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a woman's body was found in an alley in the 100 block of North Linwood Avenue.
That's just north of East Washington Street, between North Sherman Drive and North Emerson Avenue.
Police were called there just before 9 a.m.
IMPD says the woman was dead at the scene and suffered from "undisclosed trauma."
The same neighborhood has been the scene of two recent shootings, neither of them fatal.
