INDIANAPOLIS — Crews were working into the evening on Thanksgiving to restore power in Indianapolis after strong winds knocked power out for thousands on Wednesday.
Indianapolis Power and Light says they are fully staffed and hope to have power restored to almost of its customers by midnight Thursday, according to a tweet from the company. About 40,000 IPL customers lost power on Wednesday.
As of 6:30 p.m., Thursday, 138 customers were without power, according to an online outage map.
