INDIANAPOLIS – A local woman's seizure-alert dog has gone missing, and now, a community is coming together in a tireless search for the irreplaceable pet.

East-side resident Heather Adams says her dog, Maura, isn’t just her best friend, but a form of medicine to help her deal with routine seizures from her epilepsy.

But a turn of fate made the dog disappear this week in the area of Washington and Arlington streets.

Watch our video in the player above for the full story, and please call Heather at 317-443-0127 if you spot Maura.  Maura is a spayed Chihuahua-Maltese mix who was wearing a pink and leopard-print sweater, pink collar, and pink nail polish.
