17 Indiana colleges waiving fees for College Application Day on September 28

15 other state colleges never charge them at all

INDIANAPOLIS -- More than a dozen colleges across the state are waiving application fees this Friday only to celebrate College Application Day. 

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education says a record 17 colleges have agreed to waive applications fees this year in recognition of the day. Another 15 Indiana colleges never charge an application fee. 

“Every year we are encouraged to see more high schools and colleges participating in College Application Day,” said Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education Teresa Lubbers. “At a time when the value of higher education has never been greater, College Application Day provides assistance to students as they take a critical step toward their futures.”

More than 90 high schools across the state will also be hosting College Application Day events to help high school seniors navigate the admissions process. 

Indiana High School seniors can apply to the following Hoosier colleges for free Friday, September 28: 

  • Earlham College
  • Goshen College
  • Huntington University
  • Indiana State University
  • Indiana University East
  • Indiana University Fort Wayne
  • Indiana University Kokomo
  • Indiana University Northwest
  • Indiana University South Bend
  • Indiana University Southeast
  • Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC)
  • Indiana Wesleyan University
  • Purdue University Fort Wayne
  • Purdue University Northwest
  • University of Southern Indiana
  • Vincennes University
  • Wabash College

Students can apply to the following Hoosier colleges for free year-round:

  • Anderson University
  • Bethel College
  • DePauw University
  • Franklin College
  • Grace College
  • Hanover College
  • Indiana Tech
  • Ivy Tech Community College
  • Manchester University
  • Marian University
  • Saint Mary’s College
  • Trine University
