Four adults, child injured in multi-vehicle crash involving three semis

INDIANAPOLIS -- Four adults and a child were injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving three semis on Indianapolis' south side Sunday afternoon. 

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on I-465 between Sam Jones Parkway and I-70 and involved three semi trucks and two vehicles. 

According to the Wayne Township Fire Department, four adults were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown. A child was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in serious but stable condition. Three other adults were evaluated at the scene and released. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
