INDIANAPOLIS -- Amazon has reportedly made a final decision on where to build it's two new headquarters and Indianapolis did not make the cut, according to the Wall Street Journal.

According to the newspaper, Amazon has chosen a site in New York City and another in Northern Virginia as the sites. They say the decision could be publicly announced as early as Tuesday.

Indianapolis was one of 20 finalists that Amazon was considering for the new headquarters that Amazon announced it would be building last year. The company plans to invest $5 billion in their new site and hire as many as 50,000 people.

Although the decision would leave Indianapolis out, Amazon recently announced that they would be building a new redistribution facility in Greenwood that would bring roughly 1,200 jobs to the city and cost approximately $80 million to build.
