INDIANAPOLIS – A bicyclist was killed after they were struck by a vehicle on Indy’s northwest side Tuesday evening.
Jim Gillespie with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the incident happened near 51st Street and Kessler Blvd.
The cyclist, riding in the bike lane, signaled to make a left turn and immediately turned in front of the vehicle, police said.
He was struck and killed.
The Marion County Coroner identified the victim as 23-year-old Francis Feeney.
Gillespie said the driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police. No charges have been filed at this time.
