DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- It was a five-yard run for a touchdown. Not a big deal for most football players, but it meant the world to 13-year-old Wesley Everhart.
Diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby, doctors said he'd never walk.
As team manager for the Decatur Middle School Hawks, Wesley usually cheers on the players form the sideline.
Thursday night, he got into uniform and lined up at fullback.
His team and everyone in the stands cheered as Wesley ran the ball in from the five-yard line for a touchdown.
